Meet Night Owl & Early Bird
Meet Early Bird and Night Owl
I’m starting NorthIndy Roasters with two coffees, each inspired by a different part of the day.
The names came to me after discovering some of my all-time favorite children’s books by Christopher Denise. As a dad, the idea of an early bird and a night owl felt familiar, playful, and just right for the two coffees I wanted to create.
One is for those who greet the morning. The other is for those who close out the night. Together, they cover the whole day.
Early Bird: The Everyday Medium Roast
Early Bird is my bright, balanced morning coffee.
It begins with raw-sugar sweetness and a gentle citrus lift, followed by touches of fruit and spice over a subtle dark-chocolate depth. Its soft, satiny body makes it easy to enjoy from the first cup through the morning refill.
Early Bird is a medium-roast blend of Latin American and East African coffees. The blend is primarily washed, with some honey-processed coffee included for added sweetness and character.
I created it as a versatile everyday coffee. It is especially at home in a drip brewer, but it can also pull a lively espresso shot when you want something a little different.
Night Owl: The House Espresso
Night Owl is the deeper side of the pair.
As espresso, it produces a thick, syrupy body with notes of dark chocolate and toasted almond layered over a plum-like sweetness. A warm thread of baking spice runs through the cup, followed by the faintest floral lift.
Night Owl is a dark-roasted, Brazil-based blend of washed coffees from Central and South America. It contains no robusta and was developed specifically with the espresso machine in mind.
Which One Is Yours?
If you want something bright, balanced, and versatile, reach for Early Bird.
If you prefer something deep, chocolatey, and made for espresso, choose Night Owl.
I think most kitchens have room for both. Early Bird is there for the sunrise, while Night Owl is ready for the after-dinner shot.
Come Try Them
I ship throughout Indiana, and local pickup is available for nearby customers.
Choose the coffee that fits your day, or try the pair and let me know where you land: early bird or night owl.
